The mission of national charity ‘Tree of Hope’ is to transform the lives of sick children and empower their families by aiding them in fundraising to help pay for much needed medical treatment and equipment.

On 1st September the charity will be opening a specialist centre in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells. The centre will incorporate a coffee shop, treatment rooms for physiotherapy along with other types of specialist therapy. Half of the shop will be full of ‘funky stuff’ such as colourful crutches, vibrant wheelchair gloves and specialist toys provided by two of Tree of Hope’s offshoots ‘Blossom for Children’ and ‘Tumbling Furniture’. The other half of the shop will be dedicated to selling second hand quality children’s products. Therefore Tree of Hope is in urgent need of your donations of high quality books, toys and clothing for children up to 18 years old. All the profits from the shop will be put back into the charity to go towards helping more children and their families to have hope around the UK.

Tree of Hope is passionate about improving the quality of life for sick youngsters and does so by providing and assisting in the provision of grants to enable them to obtain medical surgery, treatment, therapies and equipment which would not otherwise be available to them. Therefore the opening of this shop will aid the charity in raising more money to provide equipment and surgery to children from families that might otherwise not be able to afford it.

Blossom for Children is an arm of Tree of Hope that creates ‘funky stuff’ that can be used by all children, not just those with an illness. They provide ‘nicer things’ for children with medical needs and all of their profits go back into the parent charity. Examples of their products include the ‘huggle’ – a comforting and flexible relaxation chair. Also wheelchair backpacks, gloves and ponchos along with various other products that the company hope will improve the excitement in the lives of sick kids.

The new store will also stock products from ‘Tumbling Furniture’ – another side of blossom for children. Tumbling furniture have a range of 7 stylish pieces which help develop children’s gross motor skills, build core strength, develop muscles, strengthen bones and encourage children’s imagination and passion for exploration. The selection of pieces varies from an anteater to a chicken, but all provide exciting activities for kids.

If you have any high quality books, clothes and toys for children up to 18 years old that you wish to donate please drop them off at the Tree of Hope offices – 43A Little Mount Sion, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1YP.  From July onwards Tree of Hope will be able to collect donations and larger items.
